Epic Cover Letter
(Picture taken from a post on Huffingtonpost.com) Epic Cover Letter: “How To Get Hired For Your Dream Job”.
This post could have an alternative title: “Resume Writing Tips NOT TO FOLLOW” but read next what I run into.
Hi guys. This post is not about online marketing training. It is about an entry that I read that literally made me laugh so much that I could not help myself not sharing it as I am very curious to see the level and kind of humor that me and you have; the guys and girls that read me on this new site of mine. If you haven’t already heard it or read about it, it is a cover letter of an applicant named Roanald, who tried his luck to apply for the job of his dreams.
I don’t know about you but I think that it is one of the funniest things I have ever read online. The great thing is that it is said Roanald was hired for this job. The human resources guys in this company probably had a peculiar sense of humor.
So be my guest and dive into the picture below. Let me know how you feel about it. Would you contact this guy for an interview if you were an employer? …
So what do you think? Share your thoughts about it.
Isn’t this an epic cover letter or what?

Shockingly as a career coach I have seen some cover letters that are awful but this is just, eh, not sure what to say. Unreal I guess, is probably the best word.
Did make me laugh a lot, thanks for reposting.
Nik
Hi there Nik! Thanks for sharing your opinion yeah that was definitely a one-of-a-kind cover letter. Among all the CL’s that you have received through today, I am sure this would rightfully gain the award of “the funniest CL ever”. Creativity and uniqueness can take weird forms nowadays, a sign of our challenging times I guess
.
Good day to you!
Ahahaha! This is great!! Hey, at least he’s humorous and he would definitely bring life to the office. Thanks for the share!

Hi Kris, yep I must admit that this read made my day, I laughed so hard that I thought it was worth a share. If I was an employer I would definitely buy him a coffee just for the laugh he offered me.
I find this hilarious but I guess it takes a specific kind of humor to take it this way.
My pleasure to share, laughter is also essential as well as sharing what we know about our online stuff and love.
Goo day to you

Wow, that guy had some confidence! Hahaha! Did he really submit that somewhere? I guess showing your skills and being honest is what resumes should include, right? LOL. Thanks for the share.

Hi Uri, welcome to my blog. Yep, this guy is definitely one of a kind! He could really be a genius you know and had so much talent, confidence and upgraded skills that he was not hesitant to send a CL like this one, as he knew that he would provoke controversial feelings and that he would definitely create curiosity to get the interview call.. Maybe, who knows
You are welcome, thanks for your comment!
Thanks Joanna! This is awesome–wish I had confidence like that (although I might avoid swearing on general principles)!
I think I would at least call this guy in for an interview just to make sure he’s for real–and to see how he behaved in person–would he carry on the shenanigans or be able to laugh at himself and the situation?
And actually, if this was a cold-calling sales position or something that required extraordinary confidence, he’d definitely be the man for the job.
Thanks for the laugh!
Funny guy. This resume is definitely a controversial subject for discussion. That is why it made it as a headline on the Huffinghton Post site. Nice.
This has to be the most attention grabbing cover letter that I have ever seen….but, no I would not contact them as an employer.

Excellent! Thanks for making my day with this funny epic cover letter.
I read this just the other day and laughed my a*& off. I remember thinking, “When I was hiring, I would be really tempted to hire this guy.” My bosses would have had a thing or two to say about it though. If it was a sales job, I’d say hire him straight away. Customer service; not so much.

Oh this is a riot! It would be interesting to do a “Where is he now?” update on this guy. If he got hired, I wonder how he’s doing?
