Although having a business blog is one of the best emarketing strategies available, business blogging can sometimes be a tough pursuit. Let’s face it…it’s an effort to constantly come up with ideas on topics, tips and how to keep it interesting. And keeping your blog interesting is definitely a high priority because you want to keep your customers and readers excited, engaged and ultimately coming back for more.
So it got me thinking about weird and wonderful ways to make it a better experience for customers.
So here’s a few interesting business blogging tips and tricks for you to try:
What kind of surveys or polls could you present to your customers that they might find fun and entertaining? Or is there a question that you want answered so you can help them more? Get them engaged in the process by asking them to give you their feedback. If it’s negative feedback then use it to turn it into a positive.
Ask your customers questions on your blog to get them leaving comments and engage with you and others in a conversation. Or you could use frequently asked questions that you often get asked about your products and services. Use them in a blog post to help your customers with their decision making process.
Sounds strange but lots of people like to share their story with others, especially when they have had a good experience in using your products or services. And other clients and customers always enjoy hearing what others have to say.
Find people in complimentary businesses, people that can add value to your customers. Interview them and do a joint venture where you can make a good value offer to each other’s customers.
A great way to engage people and get them interacting is to host contests. Make sure the prize is a good one and without fail you will have them hanging out for more.
Got a super special that you can offer your customers and readers? Use your blog to advertise what you have to offer. Write out the benefits and make it irresistible, they will soon be knocking at your door.
I tried this the other day when I was sketching out a process on a notepad. I then decided it looked really interesting so I did a redraw, took a photo and posted it on my blog. Looks really interesting and gives people a visual imagery of a process they might be finding hard to get. Worked well for me so think about what you can do.
Well I hope this gives you a few ideas to get those creative juices flowing. Before you go off somewhere else to do something else, just stop right there and jot down a few ideas and rough outlines for some business blogging concepts.
